To truly know her, to comprehend her,
requires delving into the uncomfortable,
facing their own prejudices,
and expanding their perspective.
- ‘Lucid Daydreams’ Collection.
Everyone is drawn to a love story, yet we rarely see or acknowledge the complexities that lie beneath the surface of relationships. From the outside, they may appear loving, deep, and happy—sometimes even convincing from within. However, when the rose-tinted glasses are removed, the truth can be much more complicated. My work seeks to bring visibility to these complexities, using soft, ethereal sapphic iconography in my paintings to contrast with the stark realities of lesbian love addiction, limerence, dubious consent, and intimate partner violence.
Accompanying these visual pieces are poems from my own collection that delve into the darker corners of relationships, offering a raw, personal reflection of the journey through pain and recovery.
